» Word Mail Merge ProblemI'm using Word XP and Access XP (2002) I have an access database that contains First Name, Last Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Amount, Date Entered, etc. Those are just some that are included, but the one that I'm going to focus on is Amount. I have my Table created and also a Query so that I can eliminate all record except for the records that were entered today Date(). I use this for creating receipts. Only when used correctly. I have plenty of personal examples where technology has helped me to learn more effectively. My English teacher sets up a wiki so we always have a source for assignments and hand outs. My biology teacher uses the screen attached to the computer to show slides of chick embryos. My chem teacher posts audio recordings of all his lectures on the internet. I can also get information and answers to a question easily using the internet and email. I have recently acquired a few old motorola VMEs with the following boards in them: MVME 167 MVME 167B MVME 167-34A MVME 177-005 MVME 332XX MVME 710B The vmes do not have operating systems on them, but I do have access to a terminal and a monitor. Is there a way for me to find out if each of the boards are working?I have thought some more about this, and I thought one possible way would be to take out all the processor boards and then just put one in at a time and see if the vme worked. I got a great(?) deal on a Sunpak MZ440AF-CA Flash "Auto focus for Canon" What I am wondering is if it will work as expected on my Canon AE-1 Program. Teh instructions are not really clear but seem to imply that it was designed to work with an autofocus camera and may determine output based on focus point... but thats a guess. Since my camera can't report focus distance to it will it just fire at full power all the time? Am I better off looking for an older flash that was designed with the AE-1 in mind?this probably should have been posted in the equipment section. I have been experimenting using a piece of white tissue as a homemade diffuser to soften the light of direct flash from a flashgun. I knew the operating range of the flash would be reduced, however, I tested the flash with no tissue on a subject 20 feet away - the OK light on the flash lit up to advise me that there was enough light for a good exposure. When I tried it with the tissue over the flash, I had to move to 3 feet for the OK light to illuminate! I didn't think it would affect it that much! I am using a Guide No 92 flash with TTL metering. Without tissue, using bounce flash off a white ceiling there is also no OK light, but photos I took last week were fine. Anyone have thoughts on this one? I read in a book somewhere (that I can't find again) that in a year when a corporation is very profitable and you expect to have the corporation need that money in later years, to have the S-Corp loan money to an officer (stockholder). My understanding is that the officer/stockholder would provide a promissory note to the S-Corp with terms and interest payable to the S-Corp for the loan. By providing a promissory note and paying interest it should prevent the IRS from re-classifying the loan as a distribution. OK...so i took a shortcut and created a really nice looking flash gallery that is xml driven...all done in photoshop CS2. The problem: I am an intermediate flash user, but the task of implementing this gallery into an existing .fla file is slipping right through my fingers. I'm trying to use the .swf loader but it keeps giving me weird messages about the .xml file. I know i'm missing a step or two. Is there an easy way of doing this so it's all in one movie?
