i want to get a cherry blossom branch on my back...on the right,
i want the branch to be black with shading and only the flowers have color...

would this look good?? I already have a tattoo arist (taku-san), i live in japan.
honest opinions, if not what do you think???

tatts are grossI think the second one looks betterThe sencond one is very very pretty- I love the cherry blossom thing, its just such an original idea...! Tough choice, they're quite beautiful. Just choosing between them, I like the just-shading one better, it reminds me of old ink drawings.
The one problem I might see with this tattoo is, just a branch coming out of nowhere looks a little wierd to me. It's hard to explain...but it kind of looks unbalanced without either the rest of the tree, or a border, or something. It has a very strong line to it...but the line disappears and doesn' t continue. Does that make any sense?I really like the second one, but I prefer colorful tattoos in general.I typically love color tattoos (I have 2 gigantic color pieces), but I have to say I love the simplicity more of the first one,and would do that one if it were me. Should be a beautiful tat either way! Good luck!the 1st one is wayyy prettier. i think too much color kills a tattoo, and also green fades kind of weird.I like the Cherry Blossom pic with only the flowers having color. In the other pic the green stems stand out way more than the flowers and it just doesn't seem right. Black branches with slight shading, flowers and leaves colored, slight color blending in the leaves. But that's just how I would do it. I'm sure your tattoo artist would walk all over me in traditional Japanese work.I like the first one betterthe top one is really pretty. i think its a great idea. I've seen alot of cherry blossoms.. but they are still Absolutely gorgeous if done correctly. =)I like it, I think the contrast of the pink flowers against the black branches is lovely. I like the second one because it is "alive" & promises the viewer a precise picture of beauty.
