not me but someone I know has 2 felonies on their record the, he just came out of jail but he doesn't think anyone will hire him for a job because of his record...is that true? He lives in California. Can people discriminate against it?That's garbage. Everyone deserves a second chance.The felonies will disqualify him from certain jobs. Bank are legally barred from hiring anyone with a felony record. There are many jobs that will give him a chance. There are even employers the prefer to hire recently released felons. The reasons are to give you another chance and to get employees that truly NEED the job. Some of these companies were started by former felons.It's going to be hard for him to find a job. What were the felonies for? Advise him he has to keep pushing although alot of doors will be closed once they realize he has this record. Also, have him attempt to open his own small business (car wash, lawn care service, etc.).
