Field Testers

  • Hello everyone,

I am a product manager with RIDGID.

I am looking for people that fish a lot of cable or wire to participate in a field test for a new product. Anyone out there?

  • i run a lot of t stat wire and now phone wire for the new HVAC computers .we also do our one power wiring .so i will help with this if i can
    thanks Charlie

  • Sure I do but I'm not about to give a junior member with 4 posts claiming to be a Ridgid guy contact information.

  • i'll wait till you need a seesnake demo man. i can use a 9th' one:D

    rick.

  • I like new toys, whats new in fishing tools?

  • Micro, I do quite a bit of fishing and add ins. Gone through a few fish sticks and flex drill bits! I'd be happy to field test out your product. You can contact me at bhgilbert @ alltel . net

  • I still want to know what new gadgets they came up with, if it works I may buy it.

  • Josh, just designate them as a Moderator for the site. Everyone will know they are for real. LOL

  • I just reminded microman about this today. Hopefully he will find the time to contact some of you in the near future.

Thanks for the responses so far.

    Josh

  • Well guys, been 3 weeks now and nothing, guess I didn't qualify. How about everyone else?

  • I pull a lot of wiring through conduit. Not in walls, but across bridge cranes. Probably install a few hundred ft per month and have to pull wires through them. I'm up for testing something.

  • I'm always looking for a better way to fish wires and cables.
    You and me both!

  • How so we test a "field" :)

Is this like company drug testing..every time I show up the dont have no drugs for me to test...just a cup to P in :D

  • On my side work, I "snake" a lot of electrical wire,CAT5/5E,RG6,and NM Cables in existing homes and some small businesses. I would be intrested in what you are thinking about.

    REgards,

  • Josh

Maybe you can fix this forum so that people that are employed at Ridge Tool will have their ID names look different from us regular members. Try to think of some way to show proof of identity if you can do so.

Actually I think you have it now. Please note that with your ID is says "Administrator" so maybe you can have something like "Product Manager" or such. The idea is to show they aren't regular members.

  • boytyperanma, He's internal. Hes one of our product managers here at RIDGID. Trust him ;)

    I vouch for his legitimacy.

    Josh

  • I am if the offer still stands!
I'm always looking for a better way to fish wires and cables.

  • I run copper tubeing and T-stat wires trhought a 4" chase about 1x a week....some t-stat wires inside a wall when I install a Maytag IQ drive (requires Sheilded T-stat Wire)...or moveing a t-stat....some times when makeing a whip..but thats only a few feet long.

  • we do lots of fishing down walls through conduits ( although not sure that counts as fishing ) between the shoe stores , churches, and fixing circuits with wires left out and wires cut thanks to sheetrockers we do a lot of fishing oh yeah i almost forgot homeowners who buy spec houses are great at adding stuff so we get to fish a lot
