Hello,
I'm looking to purchase a small natural gas alarm that can be used in
hotel rooms or when staying elsewhere overnight. I realize that First
Alert and Kidde produce such alarms for home use. However, such models
are more cumbersome that what I am looking for. I'm looking for
something that would fit into a suitcase or travel bag. I know that
there are smoke detectors manufactured for travel use. A combination
smoke detector/explosive gas alarm or a combination carbon
monoxid/explosive gas alarm is also acceptable. Here are a few models that are easily portable:

The model for $74.95 has a battery backup. It will run for 10 hours
on a full battery. It plugs directly into an outlet.

Let me know if those do not meet your needs. If you require addtional
research please post a request for clarification. I want you to be
fully satisfied.
Thanks!
I did have one other good lead. I just can't find anyone that
actually sells these. They look like they are exactly what you are
after.

I'm looking for one with a adjustable volume alarm feature, if there
is such a thing. The problem with the safe home products alarms is
that the alarm sound they produce is so loud as to wake up an entire
building of people. I've come across the alibaba.com website before.
However, just like you I've been unable to find a store that carries
them.I think you're going to run into the same problem with Albia units.
They are going to be loud, ?85dB. If you are after quiet(er) you have
a couple of choices.
1. You can go with a cheap handheld detector that you would use to
manually check the LP levels with. You have to hold down the button
to check the levels. - $24.99

2. You can spend a lot more and get a unit that will continually check
the explosive gas levels and has an audible alarm. Since this device
is designed to be used by an individual carrying the device around its
alarm will not be loud like the device that is designed to be left in
one spot. It does have a battery and an AC adapter. - $249.95

There are a few models I found that are a little cheaper, but they
don't fit your desired use as nicely. An example would be this unit:

No display or AC adapter. Probe for checking in tight spaces. Not
really what you are after.
Please let me know if either of the options above are acceptable.
Thanks!#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
