how many kalamaa olves does it take to make one teaspoon of olive oil?Nowhere did I find your exact statistic listed, but I think we come
very close with some simple math.
Here we go?
"It takes about 11 pound of olives to make 1 liter of oil"
http://www.floria-publications.com/italy/the_%20art_%20of_%20italian_%20cooking/beginning_of_olive_oil.htm
We know that 1 liter equals 202.88 tsp so we convert that to ounces and get:
.8675 ounces of raw olives per tsp.
So how many actual olives equal .8675 ounces?
http://www.elikioliveoil.com/kalpitexlaro.html
~215 olives per kg? so we convert that to ounces and get 6.09 Olives per ounce.
Which would mean that there are approximately 5.28 Olives per tsp. of olive oil.
Obviously this is not exact. Factors such as the size of your
particular olives and the method of extracting the oil would have an
affect on this equation.
I hope that this has adequately answered your question, if not please
let me know. If you require any further information please do so by
