E-commerce company ShopNow.com Inc. said its eBusiness Solutions Division has partnered with Snowball.com for the launch of ChickShops, a shopping site targeting the 12-29 year old female shoppers on the ChickClick.com Network.

ShopNow and Snowball.com developed an e-commerce solution for ChickClick.com, including transaction processing, call center, back end operations and a sophisticated customer service center for product fulfillment.

ChickClick.com plans to expand its e-commerce initiatives with personalized ChickClick shopping sites that can be created and operated by anyone.

ChickClick.com, with more than 800,000 registered users, is one of five community sites operated by Snowball.com, an online media company for Generation I (12-29 year olds). ChickShops seeks to bring the experience of shopping for specialty boutiques to the Internet.

"ChickClick.com offered an opportunity to create a cutting edge e-commerce site," said Ranjit Mulgaonkar, vice president and general manager, ShopNow eBusiness Solutions.

"We partnered with them to create a site that appeals to 12-29 year old female shoppers with a focus on services that enhance their shopping experience."

ShopNow eBusiness Solutions, the business-to-business commerce division of ShopNow.com, provides technology and outsourcing services to retailers, manufacturers, catalogers, and Internet companies.

Snowball.com also operates IGN.com, InsideGuide.com and PowerStudents.com.ShopNow Network, which is comprised of online access to more than 40,000 businesses and over 6 million shoppers.
